ABOUT THIS WORK
"Is there kinship between he and I?” my mind billowed as I wound up for the shot. Times like this I thought individuality was a fetish, especially being Black. I wanted a lot from this brief moment. To validate a level of physical or, perhaps, spiritual connectivity to this boy.
In a single breath, my mind was brought to ease by forgoing any cliches and accepting the complexity of the question. In essence, living through question, not the answer(s). Allowing this transient moment to be sacred, the past to be a gesture from the depths of time and the future to be delightfully vast.
Continuum /kən-ˈtin-yü-əm/
A continuous extent, series, or a whole.
A compact set which cannot be separated into two sets neither of which contains a limit point of the other
Something that changes in character gradually or in very slight stages without any clear dividing points
